God Is My Fortress is Bumblebee’s second Lesson in Faith.
If you’ll remember from my God Is My Shepherd post, I couldn’t
really find anything that completely fit what I wanted. I did find a site, Ministry-To-Children,
which has some
lessons that appealed to me. I just had to tweak them a bit to fit our needs.
Our second lesson, God Is My Fortress,
was broken down into three lessons.
1.
Day One: I told her, “God is my fortress. We run
to Him and He protects us”. I then showed her a picture of a fortress and told
her what a fortress was.
2.
Day Two: We read Psalm 18:1-2. I again said, “God
is my fortress. We run to Him and He protects us”.
3.
Day Three: We read 2 Samuel 22:33. I again said,
“God is my fortress. We run to Him and He protects us”.
I’m really just trying to introduce her to scripture. She
loves being read to, and looking at pictures. She recognizes differences in
color and what is supposed to be the focus of the scene. It’s amazing to see!
Especially when it has to do with the scripture.
